Policy & System Reform

Alameda County CAN recognizes the need to remove policy and systems barriers to asset development. Our Policy Committee:

• Maintains a Policy Scan of local, state and federal issues and legislation relevant to income and asset development.
• Provides links to resources and organizations on our web site, through a web-based local policy clearinghouse for income and asset development issues.
• Supports the financial counseling and banking components of Alameda County CAN with policy expertise, updates about relevant legislation, developing legislative agendas, and policy strategy.
